Fennex secured funding through OWGP’s Innovation Grant to develop WindSafe™, an AI-powered, cloud-based solution that enhances safety performance and operational reliability in the wind industry. With a strong foundation in oil and gas, Fennex sought to adapt its proven technology, creating a new product that would diversify its offerings across offshore energy.
To accelerate this transition and gain deeper insight into industry needs and market opportunities, Fennex also sought additional support through the OWGP WEST programme. Their primary goal was to leverage their existing expertise and proven innovations in the oil and gas industry to develop capability in the fast-growing renewable sector, expanding the reach and value of their digital solutions.

Prior to engaging with OWGP, Fennex was a well-established leader in the oil and gas sector, specialising in tailored digital transformation solutions for energy companies. Looking to expand into the renewables space, Fennex applied for an Innovation Grant from OWGP to develop WindSafe™, a cloud-based, data-driven digital platform tailored to the offshore wind sector. The proposed digital platform would enable offshore wind operators and contractors to collaborate seamlessly, enhancing safety, reducing costs, and improving operational reliability.
